A true Hoosier, Chris grew up in Montgomery County and got his start in the trades right here in Indiana, working for Bone Dry Masonry, before moving to Georgia.
But when it was time to start a family and a business, he came back home to Indiana. He founded Chimney Solutions with a clear philosophy for overcoming the industry’s trust gap:

“Sometimes you just got to grow slow,” Chris admits, explaining that he won’t bring on people who don’t live and breathe those values. Humility in Action: The Coffee Table Incident
Chris is the first to admit his company isn’t perfect. “We make mistakes,” he says. “Sometimes we have to tuck our tails.” And it’s how they handle those mistakes that defines them.
He shared a story about a big project where his team accidentally destroyed a client’s beautiful glass coffee table. It was a disaster.
But the team owned it, rectified it, and completed the job to the homeowner’s satisfaction. A while later, Chris ran into the client at church, who wasn’t focused on the broken table. Instead, he was thrilled with his new fireplace and the service he’d received.
For Chris, it was a “full circle” moment, proving that when you make things right, no matter the cost, it’s trust that people remember.
A “Rising Tide” Approach to Community
Chris’s philosophy on community is simple: “a rising tide lifts all boats.”
He doesn’t see other local chimney companies as competitors, but as partners in educating homeowners and elevating the trade.
