How do we vet pros?
The backbone of Neighbor Serve is trust. The only way to build that is to ensure we have the best pros in town.
How do we do it?

The process starts with a nomination from an existing pro member or when 3 neighbors recommend the same pro.
- Locally-Owned
- 51% of equity is held by people living in Indy-area
- Support and management are local
- Can Neighbor Serve call the owner?
- Balanced growth targets
- Do you have capacity for new customers?
- Do you have a balanced growth plan that ensures your team can deliver for new customers?
- Responsive
- When a neighbor requests service, pros will respond within 24 hours, ideally much faster, whenever they are “open”.
- Tenure of Employees
- Experienced, tenured employees deliver better service.
- How do you treat and train your team?
- Locally Respected
- Years in business says a lot in a town our size.
- How are you and your team participating in the community?
- Insured, Licensed, etc
- You should always confirm this before hiring a pro.
- At the time of joining, each pro submits a Certificate of Insurance.
A potential pro is sent to existing Pro Members for feedback and approval.
Our Pro Members holdsone another accountable to:
- 5-star Responsive Service
- Helping One Another
- Participating in Neighbor Serve
- Sharing co-marketing content about Neighbor Serve or other pros
- Referring at least 1 other pro member to a new project each year
- Nominating at least 1 other pro member each year
- Helping curate our pro membership
Every neighbor has their own preferences and standards. We try to do a lot of the hard work for you, but please use your own process to confirm the pro is right for you and your home. We’re always here to help!
