Contractor Membership Manager | Neighbor Serve

About Neighbor Serve:

From plumbers to pools, handymen to remodels, we make it easy to get home projects done with pre-vetted contractors, VIP pricing, and priority service.

We are an efficient, AI-enabled services company serving neighbors, contractors, and our team. We are winning in Indy and will repeat our playbook to expand to new markets. We are scaling trust, the critical ingredient missing from the national ad-driven models that proliferate in home services.

  • 85% of revenue is referred.
  • We have spent 2 years learning and building proprietary data on homes and vetting over 2,000 contractors.
  • Our AI platform is making it incredibly efficient to match the ideal contractor for each neighbor. We can chat with our homes to know what it needs, who can help, and how much it should cost.

When business owners live in the communities they serve, they treat customers like neighbors. They care more and deliver better service. You won’t see every contractor…just the top 5% of trusted pros. Neighbor Serve helps you save time, worry less, and care for your home.

Role Overview: Contractor Membership Manager

As the Contractor Membership Manager, your primary goal is to identify, source, and sign high-quality, pre-vetted contractors into the Neighbor Serve Contractor Club. Focusing on our core central Indiana markets—specifically Indianapolis and Bloomington—you will drive our contractor acquisition pipeline from initial sourcing to closed contract, ensuring only the top 5% of home service pros are brought into the club. You will work hand-in-hand with other Neighbor Serve teams to keep our contractor supply strong, engaged, and expanding.

A Day in the Life:

  • Pipeline Generation: Source high-quality contractor prospects through targeted research, local industry event attendance, community networking, and referral networks across Indianapolis and Bloomington.
  • Vetting & Approval: Enforce Neighbor Serve’s rigorous vetting process to ensure every prospective contractor meets our high standards before becoming a member.
  • Sales Execution: Run discovery and pitch calls, walk prospective contractors through our platform value, send contracts, and close new contractor partners.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with SDR teams on lead flow and outreach strategy, and align with Customer Success (CS) teams to guarantee smooth handoffs once contractors are signed.
  • Market Expansion: Represent Neighbor Serve in the local business and trade community, establishing our brand as the premier partner for elite home service professionals.

Success in this role is measured by the growth, quality, and retention of our contractor network.

Key metrics include:

  • Consistently hitting monthly and quarterly targets for newly onboarded, fully vetted contractor partners in Bloomington and Indianapolis.
  • High contractor renewal and retention rates, earning performance bonuses tied to network health.
  • Strong pipeline efficiency and conversion rates from lead generation to contract signature.
  • Seamless collaboration with SDR and CS teams, ensuring a smooth transition from signed deal to active participant in the Contractor Co-Op.

Traits for Success

  • High Integrity: You hold contractors to strict standards and do what you say you will do. Contractors and teammates trust you implicitly.
  • Relationship-Driven & Hunter Mindset: You love building relationships with local business owners, but you also have the drive to prospect, follow up, and close deals.
  • Self-Starter: You take full ownership of your territory and pipeline without needing daily instruction.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You roll up your sleeves, adapt quickly to a scaling startup environment, and treat the business like it is your own.
  • Organized: You track every prospect meticulously in the CRM and ensure no prospective contractor falls through the cracks.
  • Coachable: You take feedback in stride, iterate on sales approaches, and continuously refine your pitch.

Required Skills
